Brennan Carroll: College Career

Carroll played college football as a tight end for the University of Pittsburgh (1999–2001) after his transfer from the University of Delaware (1997).

In 2002, Brennan joined the USC Trojans football team as a graduate assistant, under his father, Pete Carroll, who was the head coach at the time. During his first season, he worked with the offense of the team and special teams. During his second season, he worked with the tight ends.

He became the full-time assistant coach in charge of tight ends in 2004. In 2007, he was also given the position of the team’s Recruiting Coordinator along with being the assistant coach.  The same year, Trojans tight end, Fred Davis, who Carroll coached, won the John Mackey Award, which goes to the nation’s top tight end. In February 2010, the team announced that the newly hired head coach, Lane Kiffin would not retain Brennan Carroll.

It was announced on December 22, 2010, that he would be joining the Al Golden’s staff at the University of Miami where he is expected to coach TEs and also be the recruiting coordinator. ^{On January 10, 2013, he moved to WR coach after the Hurricanes hired Cristobal as their Associate Head Coach and TE Coach.}

Currently, he is the assistant offensive line coach for the NFL team, Seattle Seahawks, which is coached by his father, Pete Carroll.
