Julie Ertz is an American soccer player who plays for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States women’s national soccer team(USWNT). Talking about her education, Julie attended Dobson High School from 2006 to 2010. During her time as a high-school student, she volunteered as a student athletic trainer for all four years and also was a member of the National Honor Society.
Later, she joined the Santa Clara University and graduated with a degree in communications.

Julie Ertz started her soccer career from the college level. On January 17th, 2014, she signed for the Chicago Red Stars in the first round of the 2014 NWSL College Draft. On April 19 of the same year, she made her debut in a match against the Western New York Flash and scored the winning goal for the club in her first-ever appearance.
During the 2014 season, she played in 21 matches and scored 2 goals for the Red Stars.
In 2015, she missed almost half of the NWSL season due to her commitments with the USWNT at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. She returned to the club’s services on July 22 during a match against the Boston Breakers. She made 11 appearances for the club during the 2015 season. Julie was named in the NWSL Best XI of the 2015 season.
In 2016, she made twelve appearances for the Red Stars before joining the national team in preparation for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
In the 2017 season, Ertz debuted in a new role in the attacking midfield position from where she scored the winning goal in a 1–0 victory over FC Kansas City in week 2. She was once again named to the NWSL Second XI for the season after leading Chicago to the championship semi-final.
In 2018, she made 15 appearances for the club and they reached the playoffs where they lost once again. However, she was named in the 2018 NWSL Second XI.

In 2012, Ertz earned a U20 call-up and scored one goal against Switzerland at the La Manga Tournament in Spain. She made her senior team debut on February 9, 2013, against Scotland as a substitute.
