Scott was mainly inspired by the legendary reggae singer, Bob Marley. Following the footsteps of his inspiration, he started writing songs and in 2006. He released his first album in December 2007, and the album was called ‘The Sound of My Addiction’.
Woodruff released his Sophomore album, ‘Burnin’ Ocean’, which turned to be a huge hit and fell under the top ten music in the Reggae genre in 2008. Likewise, he released ‘Burial Ground’, his fifth Stick Figure album in 2012.

In 2006, Scott founded ‘Stick Figure’, an American reggae and dub band based in Northern California. He started it was a one-man band but later added members. KBong, Kevin Offitzer, Tommy Suliman, Johnny Cosmic, and past band member Todd Smith.
After that, the group has released seven full-length albums and one instrumental album, all of which were written and produced by frontman and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff.
As of 2019, the band has released 7 full-length albums and one instrumental album. Woodruff wrote and produced all of them. Their latest album is ‘World On Fire’ in 2019. The band’s song, ‘Burial Ground’ was featured on MLB’s The Show 2016 MVP Edition game.
